If Music be the food of love…play on!

A Famous quote by Shakespeare, I’m sure he never imagined in all his wildest dreams that music would evolve to the depths that it has today or even more so what would be considered music for love would be so different from what he knew it to be…

So I have always been a HUGE fan of #thegreatgatsby 2013 movie.. my fascination/obsession with this movie has more to do with the beautifully crafted music in this film and how it worked so well into the movie.

One of my favourite songs on this soundtrack is “Together” by The XX… an amazing song that doesn’t have much to the music but the clarity in the voice of the singers is so real, you just get the message of the song… I knew nothing more about this group besides that song..

So my ignorance of this group was recently shattered when I discovered  that there was more to this group than that one song… and what an amazing discovery it was 🙂

The music of the XX can only be described as pure magic…It’s the kind of music you can sit in a room with someone, close your eyes, say nothing and just allow the waves of the sounds and the lyrics and rich clear voices of the singers wash over you as you feel rich emotions of pleasure, romance, lust, and surprise at the distinct sound of steel pans you hear but don’t expect to hear in this type of music….and as your pores slightly raise, you feel nothing but pure elation and a connection with that person  (It’s potentially orgasmic if you allow yourself to get lost 🙂 )

So if you want to surprise your ears, or shatter all your misconceptions of what music of love should sound like…take a listen and enjoy!
