What is love? An age old question that has plagued the minds of hopeful and helpless romantics for years…while i think this question is important, I think it’s even more important to know what is the right kind of love?
Walking the streets of NYC, I often observe a kaleidoscope of couples, young and old from all walks of life and I sometimes play a mental game in my mind wondering what is their story? Are they in love? How do they know that theirs is the right kind of love?
Will the right kind of love be found if you turn left or right down some random street as the sign that accompanies this post suggests?
I am no love expert, but observing these couples and life’s experiences have taught me that the right type of love sometimes might not even be defined as love.
It may be genuine care, concern, consideration and the overall need to put the other person’s feelings before yours, a gentle touch, a spoken word, a belief in the person and who they are and what they stand for and the overall feeling of just wanting to always be in their presence….
I still am defining this thing called love, but I get the feeling that my casual observations has helped me to define what the right kind of love should look and feel like.
